Our last stop in Florida was Perdido Key. We loved our time in the pan handle last year and wanted another stop on the waterfront to enjoy the beauty. This was our splurge stop as waterfront sites are spendy, but Nick approved my budget. On our way we had a quick overnight stay in Madison. It was a great little stop and nice campground on a golf course. Then onto Perdido Key RV Resort & Marina. This was the tightest spot we have had to back into. I was so nervous about us getting in, but Nick did a rockstar job on the backin. The site was right on the waterfront (inlet side) and had some beach area right outside our deck. It was lovely and truly felt like vacation time. We didn’t plan too much for this stop, but just some relaxation and beach time. We ventured to Pensacola beach and I would definitely want to come back to that area to spend more time and enjoy the beach. We also wandered through Fort Pickens and Perdido Key State Park which was beautiful. We also fell in love with Gulf State Park. Technically on the Alabama side, but the beaches in the area looked awesome. The state park had a dog beach area so Leo had a blast making new friends and playing in the water, thankfully no gator encounters. And the state park has a large campground with full hook ups so we will definitely be checking that out someday. It might become our pan handle get-away. I had another work trip to Boston and fortunately the Pensacola airport was super convenient so I could venture out and Nick got to enjoy some alone time in the RV with the fur babies. All in all it was a great stop and super glad we explored this area.
