Waterfront Bliss in Perdido Key, FL 🌊⛵🏝️

Our final Florida stop was Perdido Key, and we couldn’t have picked a better spot to wrap up our time in the Sunshine State. After falling in love with the Panhandle last year, we knew we wanted another waterfront stay to soak in the beauty. This was our splurge stop—because, let’s be honest, those waterfront sites aren’t cheap! But Nick approved my budget, so it was a go! 💰✔️

A Scenic Journey & Tricky Back-In 🚐🎯

Before reaching Perdido Key, we made a quick overnight stop in Madison, where we found a charming campground right on a golf course—a peaceful little stop along the way. Then, it was off to Perdido Key RV Resort & Marina, which turned out to be one of the tightest spots we’ve ever backed into. I was so nervous, but Nick crushed it—rockstar status on the back-in! 🎸👏

Relaxation Mode: Beach Days & State Parks 🏖️🌞🐾

The moment we set up, we knew this stop was all about relaxation and beach time. Our site sat right on the waterfront (on the inlet side), complete with a little beach area right outside our deck—pure vacation vibes.

✔️ Pensacola Beach—Absolutely stunning! We didn’t have enough time here, but we’re definitely coming back for a longer stay.
✔️ Fort Pickens & Perdido Key State Park—A beautiful mix of history and coastal beauty, perfect for wandering and soaking in the views.
✔️ Gulf State Park (technically in Alabama, but close enough!)—This was a hidden gem! Gorgeous beaches, amazing trails, and Leo had the best time at the dog beach, making new friends and splashing in the water. Thankfully, no gator encounters! 🐊😅

A Perfectly Timed Work Trip & Future Plans ✈️🏕️

I had another work trip to Boston, and luckily, the Pensacola airport was super convenient. Meanwhile, Nick got some quality alone time in the RV with our fur babies—a win-win! 🐶🐱

This stop turned out to be a favorite, and we’re so glad we took the time to explore it. Gulf State Park is now high on our must-return list—it just might become our go-to Panhandle getaway! 🚐✨
