Laurel, MS: A Charming Stop for HGTV Fans & BBQ Lovers 🏡🍖
Since our trip south took us through Mississippi, there was no way we were skipping Laurel. As huge fans of HGTV, we just had to see this adorable small town in person.
Exploring Downtown Laurel 🏡✨
We may not have bumped into Erin & Ben (major bummer!), but their influence on the town is undeniable. The quaint downtown is full of beautifully restored buildings, cozy shops, and small-town charm that made us fall in love instantly.
BBQ, Brews & the Hattiesburg Zoo 🍖🍺🦁
No stop is complete without some good eats and drinks. We found:

It was the perfect mix of exploration and relaxation.
Beware of the Mississippi Spiders! 🕷️🌳
And here’s a fun lesson we learned the hard way:
Never walk between trees in Mississippi. Why? Because that’s where the spiders live. 🕷️😱
Let’s just say we made some unexpected eight-legged friends, and I’m still shuddering thinking about it.
Would We Go Back? Absolutely!
Despite the spider ambush, Laurel was everything we hoped it would be—charming, welcoming, and full of personality. Maybe next time, we’ll finally run into Erin & Ben! 😉
