Eureka Springs: A Hidden Gem in Arkansas 🌄🛶🎶

As we started venturing north from Texas, we were thrilled to explore uncharted territory—Arkansas and Missouri! After a quick overnight stop in Eufaula, Oklahoma, we rolled into Eureka Springs, Arkansas—and WOW, what a surprise!

First Impressions: Arkansas is Stunning 🌿🏞️

We were not expecting the rolling hills, mountain ridges, and flat-out gorgeous scenery that greeted us. Arkansas immediately shattered our expectations—this place is beautiful. But getting to our KOA was a bit of a thrill ride. A steep hill led into the campground, with uneven roads that gave our RV jacks a little scrape (no damage though—phew! 😅).

Adventure, Eats & Eclectic Vibes 🏕️🚡🌮

✔️ Ziplining—Nick was all in; I chickened out (zero regrets 😆).
✔️ Mother’s Day Brewery Stop 🍻—live music, killer tacos from Twisted Taco, and my favorite person—perfection.
✔️ Downtown Eureka Springs—an eclectic, hippie town with quirky shops, stunning architecture, and crazy narrow roads (good thing we took the trolley because a dually would not fit!).

The Unexpected Sights

🌆 Crescent Hotel—a historic (and possibly haunted?) hotel with a great restaurant, bar, and jaw-dropping views. Oh, and the calzones? Insanely good. 🍕

✝️ Passion Play & Giant Jesus Statue—a massive religious monument with, of all things, a one-wheel race happening that day! Who knew that was a sport? 🤷‍♀️

🏡 Thorncrown Chapelhands down, one of the most breathtaking architectural pieces we’ve ever seen. A stunning glass chapel tucked away in the woods—absolute must-see.

🐯 Turpentine Wildlife Refuge—home to some of the most beautiful big cats we’ve ever seen. We love cats, so this stop was extra special.

Final Thoughts: Eureka Springs = A Must-Visit

We honestly had zero expectations coming in, and this place blew us away. The mix of stunning nature, quirky charm, and fun adventures makes Eureka Springs one of those hidden gems we’d love to come back to.

Oh, and mental note: this would make an AMAZING girl’s weekend spot. 😉
