The second stop of our Tennessee Fall tour was the town of Dayton, right along Chickamauga Lake. We stayed at Blue Water RV Resort. They typically don’t allow rigs larger than 40′ in their park, and as we ventured down the hill to our lakeside site, we could see why. But Nick rocked the backin into the site.  And man did we enjoy our backyard for these two weeks overlooking the lake. We ventured to the Lost Sea Adventure and took our first underground boat ride. The cavern was pretty cool and the lake full of fish underground was a site to be seen. Next Nick took me to Tsali Notch winery which had beautiful mountain views and my first tasting of wine made of Muscadine grapes. I am pretty sure this has become my favorite wine. We took a short hike through Pocket Wilderness which was at the top of a non-maintained road – and boy was that scary to drive up. It was peak leaves in the Smokey Mountains so I met my friend Mandy for a girl’s day in Townsend. It was a beautiful drive just getting there, but then add some spectacular food and brews at Peaceful Side Social Brewery and a scenic drive through the Foothills. It was breathtaking and everything I had imaged Tennessee Fall to be.
