Fall in Tennessee: A Scenic Stop in Dayton 🍂🍷
Our second stop on our Tennessee fall tour was the charming town of Dayton, nestled right along Chickamauga Lake. We stayed at Blue Water RV Resort, a peaceful retreat with stunning lake views.
They typically don’t allow rigs over 40 feet, and as we made our way down the steep hill to our lakeside site, we quickly understood why! But, as always, Nick nailed the back-in, and we were soon settled into our gorgeous backyard overlooking the water.
An Underground Boat Ride at the Lost Sea Adventure 🌊🛶
One of the coolest experiences here was the Lost Sea Adventure, where we took our first-ever underground boat ride! The cavern system was fascinating, and the subterranean lake full of fish was something we won’t forget. It was eerie, unique, and such a fun adventure.
Discovering My New Favorite Wine at Tsali Notch Winery 🍇🍷
Next, Nick surprised me with a visit to Tsali Notch Winery, where we were greeted with stunning mountain views and a tasting of Muscadine wine. I had never tried Muscadine grapes before, but after this visit, I’m pretty sure it’s now my favorite wine! The combination of sweetness and bold flavor made for the perfect fall sip.
Pocket Wilderness & A Scary Drive Up the Mountain 🌄🚙
For a little outdoor adventure, we took a short hike through Pocket Wilderness. But first, we had to conquer the drive up a non-maintained road—and let me tell you, it was terrifying! 😅 Definitely worth it for the views, but let’s just say I wouldn’t want to do that drive in bad weather!
Peak Fall Colors in the Smoky Mountains 🍁🏞️
