Our visit to Carrabelle, FL was nothing short of unforgettable. Dubbed the Forgotten Coast, this stretch of Florida gave us some of the most breathtaking sunrises and sunsets we’ve ever seen.
Oceanfront Living at Ho-Hum RV Park 🌊🚐
We set up camp at Ho-Hum RV Park, a small, no-frills campground with a million-dollar view. Though we weren’t right on the shoreline, we were just one row of sites away, which meant constant ocean breezes and the soothing sounds of crashing waves. It was pure heaven.
Fresh Fish, Frozen Burgers & Island Adventures 🎣🍔🏝️
Nick, being the supportive husband he is, graciously sacrificed by living off frozen burgers so that I could fully indulge in fresh seafood at every opportunity. (What a guy, right? 😂)
One of the highlights of our stay was our day trip to St. George Island and State Park.

- Rolling sand dunes that felt like something out of a painting
- Charming little restaurants perfect for a mid-day bite
It was picture-perfect Florida in every way.
Wild Encounters at Wakulla Springs 🐊🐠
For a true Old Florida experience, we took a trip to Wakulla Springs—and WOW.
The boat ride through the springs was beyond words. We got up close and personal with:
- Gators (yes, plural!) 🐊
- Manatees slowly gliding through the water 🛶
- Birds and wildlife galore
There’s something almost mystical about this place—so peaceful, so untouched.
A Place That’s Hard to Beat 💙
Carrabelle left a huge mark on our hearts. The raw beauty, the laid-back atmosphere, the incredible wildlife—this is a stop that will be hard to top in the future.
One thing’s for sure: The Forgotten Coast will never be forgotten by us. 🌅✨
