Bread Pudding

Ingredients
  

  • 5 Slices Bread Toasted
  • 2 Cups Milk Scalded
  • 1/2 Cup Raisins
  • 3 Eggs Beaten
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp Butter Melted
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Toast the bread to your liking.
    5 Slices Bread
  • While the bread is toasting scald the milk by heating until it almost boils and then cool it down for 10-15 minutes
    2 Cups Milk
  • Cut or break the toasted bread into 1" cubes (can be bigger of smaller if you prefer)
    2 Tbsp Butter
  • Put bread cubes and all other ingredients in a bowl and stir really well
    2 Cups Milk, 1/2 Cup Raisins, 3 Eggs, 1 tsp Vanilla, 2 Tbsp Butter, 1/4 tsp Salt, 2/3 Cup Sugar, 1/2 tsp Cinnamon, 1/4 tsp Nutmeg, 5 Slices Bread
  • Put the mixture in a baking dish and Bake at 350° for 30-45 minutes
  • The pudding is done when you can insert a bread knife and it comes out clean

Notes

Can be served warm or cold.  I like to add some caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream
